This is a little game I invented, called “EMS Go-Fish”. It’s played much like the regular game, but instead of cards… we use misc sharps. Instead of suits, we use gauges… and lengths for face value. Oh, and loser gets shanked with a 14 gauge. But otherwise, same as regular Go-Fish.

Capt. Tony Grider dies from injuries during August ice bucket challenge in KY

A firefighter injured during an ice bucket challenge at Campbellsville University has died.

Forty-one-year-old Cpt. Tony Grider was critically injured Aug. 21 when the Campbellsville Fire Department was helping the marching band with the challenge.

Investigators said Grider was in the bucket of an aerial ladder truck and was shocked when energy from a nearby power line arced to the bucket.

Eric Johnson with Supporting Heroes released the following statement:

“It is with deep regret we notify you of the line-of-duty death of Campbellsville, Kentucky Fire Captain Tony Grider.

Captain Grider succumbed to injuries sustained 30 days earlier when he received a high-voltage electric shock during an “ALS ice water challenge” at Campbellsville University.

Captain Grider served the Campbellsville Fire Department for 16 years.  He was 41 years old and is survived by his wife, Gena, and five children.

I hate that feeling when you’re not necessarily sad, but you just feel really empty and every little thing gets to you and everyone that talks to you makes you angry and you want to punch everyone in the face
